Rooney Mara Lands Coveted Dragon Tattoo Role



Rooney Mara has landed the coveted role of Lisbeth Salander in the film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's The Millennium Trilogy. Rooney Mara beat out many of today's top leading female actresses to get the role. Daniel Craig will also star in the fim. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is set to arrive in theatres worldwide on December 21, 2011.

Now Hollywood is to create its own version, the title role was a much sought after job attracting interest from many A-listers, reportedly including Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, and even vampire lover Kristen Stewart.
